They make us laugh, cry, and scream in utter terror. If they existed in real life, we would want them locked up on the northernmost regions of Antarctica but this is movie land, and we always need a good psycho or two to make watching horror movies a bit more interesting. Just when you think you have them figured out, they do something completely and totally off the wall! A character that keeps you on the edge of your seat makes an awesome movie!
So this is my ode to the psychos that graced the screens of my favorite thriller/horror movies and whose behavior has completely changed/warped my life!

Hanibal Lecter (Silence of theLambs) : The “I’m having you for dinner” psycho

Annie Wilkes (Misery): The “makes writing a dangerous job” pyscho.

John Doe (Se7en): The “Taking the 7 deadly sins to a whole other level” psycho

The Joker (The Dark Knight): The “why so serious?” psycho

Norman Bates (Psycho): “I am my dead mother” psycho

Jigsaw (Saw): The “Let’s play a game” psycho

Jack Torrence (The Shining): The “Staying in a creepy hotel way too long” psycho

Leatherface (Texas Chainsaw Massacre): The “ooh look at my chainsaw” psycho

Dr. Heiter (The Human Centipede): The “Epitome of the Ultimate Mad Scientist” psycho
Carrie (Carrie): The “you have f’d with me for the last time” psycho
Who are your favorite psychos? (in movies of course!)

I would say Dr. Moreau of “The Island of Doctor Moreau” He was a psycho who thought he was doing something good. The movie is amazing in an icky, scarey suspenseful kind of way.
